Amber J. Hicks has been a mainstay of Sudbury theatre for over 30 years. She made her stage debut as 'Meg' in the TC production of CRIMES OF THE HEART for which she won the Quonta Award for Best Actress. Past TC productions include 'Kate' in TAMING OF THE SHREW, 'Kit Kat Girl' in CABARET, 'Madame de Marquise' in DANGEROUS LIAISONS, and 'Eleanor of Acquitaine' in THE LION IN WINTER for which she won her second Quonta Award for Best Actress. Miss Hicks made her Sudbury Theatre Centre debut playing various 7 roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and played 'Mary' in the STC Summer Playhouse production of RUN FOR YOUR WIFE. Past directorial credits include YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN and ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST (both with TC) as well as POUNDING NAILS INTO THE GROUND WITH MY FOREHEAD for the Sudbury Fringe Festival. Film credits include the feature film THE SUMMIT and the short film LOVE IS BLIND.
As the Founder and Artistic Director of Murder by Appointment, Amber J. Hicks has written, produced, and directed dozens of original shows with long-time collaborator, Bill Sanders as well as Rodney Roy. Now in it's 23rd season, Murder by Appointment continues to entertain Ontario with its unique brand of comedy murder mystery. From Timmins to Sudbury to Barrie, Murder by Appointment has helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for local and provincial charities. Amber J. Hicks is represented by 46th Parallel Management.

Rodney Roy is a graduate of the Canadore College Theatre Arts program and has worked professionally in theatre, film, and television (including 2 seasons as a recurring guest on Talk TV's flagship show THE CHATROOM). Past theatre credits include 'Hysterium' in A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM (Theatre Cambrian), 'Bobbi Franklin' in RUN FOR YOUR WIFE (Sudbury Theatre Centre Summer Playhouse), 'Reverand Hale' in THE CRUCIBLE (Thorneloe Players), 'Ronald' in THE ALTRUISTS, and 'Harris' in THE LIBERTINE (both with Rep 21). Past Murder by Appointment shows include 'Inigo Jones' in THE DEADLY PLOT, 'Jessie Soguay' in A VOW OF MURDER, 'Tinkle Graves' in THE CASE OF DRY BELCH, 'Mrs. Cuckoo' in CLUED OUT, 'Hugh Boreme' in MURDER AL DENTE, and 'The Colonel' in VIVA LAS ELVIS! Rodney Roy has co-written 3 shows with Amber J. Hicks, DEATH AT A FUNERAL, CABIN SCREAMER: THE CASE OF THE NORTHERN FRIGHTS, and GRINCHED! A YULEDIE MYSTERY. Rodney Roy is currently enrolled in the Writing For Film & TV program at Toronto Film School.

Bill Sanders is an accomplished improvisational actor, singer/songwriter, and stand-up comedian. Past Murder by Appointment credits include SUDBURY NIGHT LIVE, CASABLANC-AH CANADIAN-AH, CLUED OUT, A CHRISTMAS CAPER, THE CASE OF DRY BELCH (which he wrote), A CURSED COVEN, VIVA LAS ELVIS!, and fan-favourite Dominic Salmoneli in MURDER AL DENTE. Bill Sanders made his directorial debut with the STC Summer Playhouse featuring Amber J. Hicks and Rodney Roy. He has been with Murder by Appointment for over 20 years and has co-written numerous shows with Amber J. Hicks. He currently serves as Technical Advisor for Murder by Appointment.
